Friday Five

Hello friends! :)

Oh, how I love Fridays. After a long week, the weekend has finally presented itself.

I started the day off with breakfast, coffee, and a workout. Three of my favourite things.

Has anyone noticed the super sized status of strawberries this year. It’s insane. I wonder what kind of things they add to get them to grow so big? Ah, better of not to know I think. Ignorance is bliss.

A couple other things to mention…cookie dough and pudding.

Yesterday was one of those days I decided to get a little crafty in the kitchen.
I love experimenting with recipes and ingredients. I have a couple special things coming up soon! You’ll just have to wait a little while longer ;)

I whipped up another batch of my cookie dough balls. Superb.

Moving on to the pudding, its pretty much a cinch to make. And the ingredients together make this pudding super creamy.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Faux Cheesecake

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons peanut flour
  •  1/2 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 10-ish drops liquid stevia
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2-4 tablespoons almond milk (to blend)

Throw all ingredients into a blender or use a hand blender, and blend away. This is the perfect snack post workout or before bed.

Mmm. I love me some pudding.

Five Things Friday

1. I’ve been adoring Kristin’s pumpkin protein dough. Amazing. Do yourself a favour and make it.

2. Go check out Meg’s High Five Friday post she hosts every week.
I would like to give myself a high five for keeping up with my plan to increase my calories, trying to maintain a positive attitude, and challenge myself to try new things.

3. Wonka created a bunch of the craziest, coolest sounding ice cream flavours. I kind of want to try them just because of their name’s and design. I mean are you even kidding me? Kerfluffle Truffle, Chipperberry Swirl, Caramel Nut Kadoozle, and more.  These sound awesome.

4. Go and do this 1000 rep workout. I was a sweaty mess by the end of this. I know there is a lot of controversy with the new bodyrock.tv website, but there is no denying that they can still give me a kick ass workout. I do prefer Zuzana’s workouts, but these still rock.

5. I just love the Ellen Show. And Tony. Watch this pleaseeee.

  2. That pudding recipe looks good! I’ve made something similar before, but without the peanut flour (since I’m allergic) and I loved it! You can’t go wrong with chocolate and banana. ;)

  3. Great idea for the pudding! I do something similar with my cottage cheese, almond milk, stevia concoction that I’m obsessed with before bed. I’ll have to try yours!! I freakin love ellen, she’s hilarious. Happy Friday !! :D

    • Cottage cheese blended just tastes so darn good. Ellen is awesome, I want to go to one of her shows so badly!

  8. body rock has insane workouts, must save that one! and i say HIGH TEN to that increase in calories!

    • Seriously crazy now! It makes me annoyed when they use tons of equipment I don’t have though haha. Don’t want to spend all that money! Yes, I feel much better after the increase so far :)

  11. Nawww, no Snozberry flavour? ;-) Those ice cream flavours sound delish, as does your recipe! I’ve been trying to find protein flour here in Australia but no luck yet.

    I know what you mean about strawberries, it freaks me out! It like they’re on roids sometimes!

    • Haha. I actually just buy it online because they don’t have it here in Canada, its pretty cheap. And tastes so good. It’s insane how big they are now, my neighbour grows her own and when I compare the two its so weird.

    • Yah, I hadn’t really tried it out either, especially because they started using so much equipment. I haven’t tried it yet I gotta do it this week! Have a great day too!

  13. its funny because today I was thinking of other ways to use my pb2 and I thought to mix it with cottage cheese to make a healthier cheesecake type snack..but I didn’t know if it would be good. Obviously I am not the only one thinking along the same lines!! sounds like a great recipe, I hope to try it later this week! Hope you had a great weekend:)

    • Haha yes it is good! Remember to add sweetener though, or else it may taste weird ;)

      • I ended up trying it tonight and added a little stevia..sooo good. prob helps I always mix my pb2 with vanilla soy milk and then I added in some different nuts. yummy combo for sure, thanks again for the great idea:)
