WIAW #6

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Who is ready to get this party started? I can not believe it is already Wednesday, this week has gone by super fast already!

I’ve been moving this week, so I opted to skip out of my morning workout in favour of eating breakfast :)

8 – Breakfast: Overnight Oats: 1/3 cup oat bran, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, stevia, 1/2 tablespoon hemp seeds, 1/3 cup pumpkin, topped with raw cashew butter post picture!

It was a beautiful day out, so I took advantage of it and went on a little walk and then headed to the market to pick up some groceries for the rest of the week.

11:30 – Lunch: Roasted kabocha squash with a side of raw coconut butter (so fab)

3 – Snack: leftover greek yogurt (about 1/4 cup), scoop of vanilla sun warrior, 1 tablespoon raw almond butter mixed together topped with fresh organic strawberries

5 – Dinner: slice of ezekiel bread toasted and topped with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, with cinnamon and stevia (cinnamon toast), with a side of spinach, cauliflower, asparagus, and tempeh roasted in a mix of coconut oil, almond butter, and almond flour

8 – Bedtime Snack: protein muffin, with coconut cream, and peanut flour paste

A delicious day of eats if I say so myself, now back to moving. And then catch up on episodes of the New Girl. Such a great show.

Have a wonderful day friends!!

What is the best thing you ate today?

  1. I didn’t workout when I was moving either. Too many boxes to lift, I was exhausted!! lol Coconut butter is amaaaaazing. Good luck with the move!

    • Haha I know, I think my arms may even be sore from lifting so much. I think coconut butter is my fave fat right now. So creamyyy

  2. OH MY WORD all of these eats are just making me drool like a psycho! That kabocha, the greek yogurt, and that protein muffin mmmm I’m thinkin you should move to Texas to be my personal chef heehee ;)
Good luck with the move, friend!

    • Hehe ;) I would love to move to Texas and cook for you :) How awesome would that be?! Thank you!

  3. Gosh, I eat the most boring food! The best thing I’ve eaten (so far) today was cottage cheese with almond butter.

Moving is a major work out, isn’t it?! All the best for your move :-)

    • Haha, I usually think my food is boring. I try to mix it up a bit so people don’t keep seeing the same things. Mmm I love cottage cheese and almond butter. My arms are so sore from moving boxes and all my stuff

  4. I just bought a kabocha squash to roast too! I can’t wait to do that tomorrow, you have me craving it, and now I am going to pair it with coconut buttaaaahhh :D

  5. I think moving totally counts as a workout! All of your eats look so tasty :) . The best thing I’ve eaten today were the double chocolate chip protein cookies that I made from Brittany at Itty Bits of Balance!

  6. Moving is definitely a killer workout! The day I moved, I woke up early to go to the gym, but one hour into the moving process, I was regretting that decision BIG time. Let’s just say I’ve had two much-needed workout-free days since then…Allowing my body to rest has felt so good!

I’m loving all the delicious coconut butter, oil and cream in this post! I feel like coconut products have taken over every single one of my meals lately…I just can’t get enough. :-p

The best thing(s) I ate today were two new Trader Joe’s finds: hummus dressing (so good!) and cocoa almond spread (like Nutella, but made with almonds instead of hazelnuts).

    HUGS!! xoxo

    • My arms are sore just from lifting boxes up and down stairs. Goodness. Haha, I could imagine regretting that workout later on ;) Moving is no joke. I’m so happy the time off has made your body feel much happier! Just think your next workout will rock then. Oh my, I am too obsessed with coconut items haha. I literally eat a couple every single day!! I can’t get enough either! Hummus dressing?! That sounds so good, I wish Canada would get on that train soon!

  7. So healthy! nice day of eats. I’ve never had kabocha squash before, at first I thought it was big roasted plantains? haha are they sweet?

    • Haha, I would compare it to butternut squash, except that it is more dense, and a little less sweet!

  8. Yum – kabocha is my favorite squash! Good luck with your move!

  9. Your bedtime snack looks great! Squash w/coconut butter? Must try!

  10. Mmm raw coconut butter sounds so good! Also, overnight oats that look as good as those > workout. ;)

    • Coconut butter is seriously one of my favourite products. So delicious. It tastes like frosting. Well, in my opinion!
