Morning beautiful people! How is your day going so far?
I hope everyone’s Independence Day was awesome if they celebrate.
After we last spoke, I got myself a workout in, some good eats, coffee, and a new phone!!!!! So excited that I finally upgraded to an iphone after I’ve been wanting one for about…1 year and a half.

Backing up to the morning, I got my workout in and quickly ate breakfast. It is so gorgeous out today, I’m happy the sun finally came out finally. I almost had myself another smoothie for breakfast, but decided to go with the overnight buckwheat bowl I had waiting in the fridge.
I quickly got ready, so I could get some coffee into my veins. Then moseyed my way on over to Starbucks, of course.
This is love.
Afternoon snack was a batch of yogurt I had previously frozen, blended with a frozen banana and some coconut flour.
I kept this on the lighter side because I was still full from breakfast and lunch previously. I’m sad because I ran out of fresh berries, so now for fruit I’m relying on the frozen bananas I have stocked up in my freezer. Not as good as the lovely summer berries.
After the mall, I had a cup of tea while browsing cute dresses. I love this dress that Jennifer Lawrence is wearing.

Earlier this week, I mentioned that I had a lot I was thinking about, well while I am getting some things finalized and figuring out the rest I am doing things to progress how I choose to feel.
My goal to choose happiness is going great, my idea is to replace every negative thought with a positive.
Much more positivity has been brought into my days now, I realized my mindset needed to change.

I got out a pen and wrote down a list of about 10 positive mantras and affirmations to say to myself. When I notice a negative or irrational thought enter my head, I grab the list from my bag and repeat one of the mantras I wrote. That way in any situation, I have these to look at and repeat instead. It truly has given me a more positive aura and just makes me happier by the end of the day.

It may sound silly, but I’m truly smiling about everything. It is simple and you can bring it anywhere.
I’m truly ready for life, the future and what the days will bring me. I am feeling good about changes.

Positive mantras are the best, I use sticky notes to put them around my house a lot. I love that dress too!

Exactly! I always try and look for the best in any given situation. There is so much positive in our lives that we have to look forward to.

I am working on incorporating more positive thinking into my life as well. I was a constant worrier, and was always thinking about the bad things that might happen. I am now realizing that positive thinking has so many benefits and there is no reason to be constantly worrying about something that may or may not happen.
I definitely went through the constant worry. I think it runs in my family, my mom and grandma and I are all worriers. Just changing the way I view thoughts and situations has changed my daily living drastically.
I think having sayings or mantras that are helpful is a great idea. Often just that one quote can turn things around

You have an amazing attitude and outlook on life right now- something i aspire to have. Writing down mantras that mean something to you is a great idea- I actually wanna go buy myself a cute notebook to write my own in right now ! I find it all *too easy* to be negative all the time(not a nice trait), so this could be the start of me trying to change that.

I was also wondering if you had ever made Girl Meets Healths coconut banana choc chip cookies? I make them quite a lot- they’re healthy and feature the coconut flour banana combo- so obvs they make me think of you:p.

I used to be so negative about everything…definitely not a cute attribute. Its a really hard cycle to get out of at first, but now that I’m used to it its a lot better. Writing down the mantras helped me so much.

I did the same exact positive mantra exercise when I was in recovery and it helped SO much. It’s one of the many things I’ve carried over into everyday life post-recovery. You’re amazing, babe!!

So true! Having a good attitude is more then half the battle.
Staying positive is SO important. It’s something I constantly focus on. I truly believe that happiness is mind-over-matter. If you allow yourself to be happy and focus on finding the good in every situation, life is so much more enjoyable! I’m so happy you’ve started using positive mantras like that! They make a huge difference. (:
PS: I think I may have finally found someone who is as addicted to Starbucks as I am! It’s a problem…Do you have a gold card? I use mine almost every day!
They do make a huge adjustment in attitude and how I view things. Haha, seriously I am so addicted! I am honestly there everyday. I do have a gold card! I definitely use mine all the time. Its bad when they know who you are at more than one location;)

Frozen banana’s to ANYTHING makes the meal so creamy! Currently eating one in overnight oats now!
Sounds good! I prefer frozen to actual ripe bananas, they definitely make things taste better! And then if you melt them in the microwave they get all caramelized, so delicious!
