You all are so amazing, yesterdays comments left me in tears. I’m not sure why I got so emotional about this post, but for some reason I went through the comments and just started getting teary eyed. I went to cry to my mom after. Feel free to be jealous over how cool I am.
This morning, I’m feeling like I have a lot on my mind, almost an overwhelmed feeling. Not exactly sure why, maybe because HLS is coming up next week and I feel like I have tons to do, and I’m also terrified of flying. Like, its insane and slightly embarrassing.
Last night was possibly one of the worst night sleeps I’ve had in a while. I was tossing and turning throughout the night and my body just wanted nothing to do with it. I was pretty bored of lying there for hours, so just decided to get up and do something a little more exciting. Like eat.
Even after a disastrous night, I’m not feeling too tired. I’m sure I’ll be hitting the wall sometime this afternoon, so I’ll just have to make the best of the morning.
Let’s get to breakfast, overnight buckwheat was on the agenda for today.
Todays batch included:
- 1/4 cup creamy buckwheat cereal, ground
- 2 tablespoons oat bran
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 cup pumpkin
- 1/3 cup egg whites
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
A delicious mug of coffee is also being consumed right this minute.
5. Business Cards
My business cards for the Healthy Living Summit came today. I am oddly extremely excited about this.
4. Solo Muffins
I read on someone’s blog about baking with coconut flour. My memory has failed me, I totally forget whose!
I clearly have issues, because when someone mentions this delightful flour, I have to have it…like right this second. This meant I just had to make my own coconut protein muffin.
- 2 tablespoons coconut flour
- 1 tablespoon oat bran
- 2 tablespoons greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup mashed banana (previously frozen, melted before hand-you could replace with 1/4 cup pumpkin or applesauce)
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a little milk if needed (1-3 tablespoon)
Curling my hair with the above curling iron.
It is a thicker barrel than the one I normally use, and I love the way it makes my hair look. More beach-y and summer-y.
I highly suggest taking a picture of yourself while at a traffic light. It can lead to some awkward conversations later.
I managed to arrive to my coffee date with a text from a friend saying they saw me taking a photo of myself. Classic moments.
Miley Cyrus picture solely because she loves pilates and I think she’s pretty cool.
I’m really happy with the fact that I’ve been better at including pilates in my routine.
It’s low impact, which is greatly needed in my life at this moment. At first, it was really hard to get back into it. My mindset wasn’t all that positive when I started focusing on less intense workout routines.
I’ve changed that thinking around, because I want my workouts to remain a healthy and positive thing for me.
By just relaxing and realizing I’m doing the best for my body, I’ve come to appreciate and get excited for pilates now. Although, I can’t wit for things to normalize so I can return to those high intensity workouts!:)
Being a FitFluential Ambassador has made me realize how important it is to honour my own body if I want to help others with living their healthiest lifestyle possible. You’ve got to practice what you preach.
Today is my Step Dad’s birthday, followed by my Dad’s birthday tomorrow!
They both share some amazing qualities.
Both of you have made me the person I am today. You’ve taught me the most valuable lessons in life.
No matter what occurs in life, you can ALWAYS find good things. That everything happens for a reason and laughter is the best medicine. Who both taught me that success does not come easy, and you always have to work for what you want in life.
I love you both.
Happy Birthday to the two of you!
What’s your favourite summer hairstyle?
Am I going to be seeing you at HLS?
What snack are you enjoying lately?
Have a fantastic and fabulous day!!
