Hello, Friday! I’m pretty excited for the upcoming weekend, I have a bunch of plans and want to get in some relaxation as well.
Thanks for all your comments on yesterday’s post. It sounds like we all strive to get outside our comfort zones to try and create more balance within our lives. And that it’s important to keep challenging ourselves to help us keep growing as people.
Anyways, let’s get right to the facts.
1. I think we may need to have a little prayer circle for my poor wallet. I just spent a bunch of money at Lululemon and David’s Tea. I can’t resist new workout clothes.
And then happened to stop by David’s Tea where they had their holiday teas out. It’s a miracle I only made it out with three.
Plus, they were offering the colored tins with no added price, so I got these fun colored tins as well.
Santa’s Secret, Cocomint Cream, and Banana Nut Bread.
All smell amazing.
I’ll let you know which is my favorite after I try them all!
2. Sephora’s holiday limited edition items are out, and I’m dying to get my hands on some of their amazing things. I want it all.

3. My sister, her friend, and I all had a little hang session yesterday where we did really random activities.
Word to the wise…if you put jumping in a leaf pile on your bucket list, take it off now!
Just don’t jump in leaf piles, you will get bugs all over you and in your hair and then have nightmares about it.
Whoever thought that was a fun Fall activity was very, very, very wrong.
4. I’m getting prepared for a baking extravaganza this weekend.
I have plans to start holiday baking, so I can get some good posts ready for the blog. I haven’t baked in about a week and I already miss it.
Any things you’d like me to try and create?;)
Hey there, pumpkin fudge.
I need to make more of this stuff right away. It’s too good.
5. I hadn’t tried this peppermint stevia before and have had it in my cupboard for about 3 months now, but I just tried it out yesterday. Holy, it’s good stuff.
It also makes things seem more festive, which is a clear winner.
Get some if you have the chance.
6. Having “me time” and getting the chance to dive into some good shows and books.
I didn’t get the chance to watch the first season of Revenge, so have been catching up and am now addicted. I’ve been racing through the episodes.
I’m also re-reading The Alchemist, such a good book.
7. Cozy and warm dinners.
Since it gets so dark at like 3 now a days, I’ve been relying on hot meals for Dinner.
Chili and soup has been on rotation basically every night now.
I need to branch out with some new recipes , since I don’t think this addiction is going anywhere.
8. On the fitness front, I can’t wait until my neck has healed so I can do this workout that Janetha posted.
It looks awesomely intense.
What are some random facts you’d like to share?
Have you started any holiday baking or shopping yet?
Any recipes you’d like to see on the blog?
Have a happy weekend!

GAHH I’ve had your pumpkin fudge on my to make list for an eternity, it’s about time I made it! Yum
I definitely need to start my holiday shopping soon…I can’t believe December is already less than a month away! Where has the time gone?!?!?!
Haha – so funny about jumping in leaves! I remember doing that with my sisters a few years ago, and the same thing happened. I had leaves stuck in my hair for the rest of the day, and a nasty bug crawled down my shirt. GROSS.
Happy Friday, Lisa!
Holiday shopping is so dangerous for me! I just tried my first David’s Tea the other day and I’m in love! Now I really want to try the cocomint one! Happy Friday!
coconut cream tea?! YES!
Cocomint cream team sounds so good! I love weekend baking extravaganzas…I’m thinking I need to whip up some cookies this weekend!
In response to your comment yesterday (I left you a response on my blog, but in case you didn’t get it) if you’re still willing/able to send me a guest post I’d love to put it up! I would just need it by Monday night, latest.
I hear you with David’s tea!! I actually work at Lululemon and David’s tea is right. across. the. street. so its bad news in terms of my spending habits! Plus, who knew tea could be SO SO delicious?! I love that you jumped in leaves – although there were consequences, it sounds like so much fun! Have a great weekend!
i’m going to make your fudge! one with protein and one with chocolate. excited to try
Haha oh gosh… Lulu, David’s, and Sephora? Seriously my shopping Kryptonite. I’m heading to the mall to get a haircut today and seriously trying to avoid going in to any of those places… even though I’m 99.9% sure that that’s not going to happen. Ahh well… nothing wrong with having a little fun, right?
And I laughed big time at the leaf jumping thing. That was something that was actually on my Fall bucket list, and I could have done it when I went to rake at my parents’ place, but when I saw the twiggy pile… it became a lot less appealing. Hope you got all the bugs out!
Oh yay a lululemon spree is one of my favorites. What did you get?? I need a new bra and pair of groove pants from there. I swear groove pants are my uniform
What do you host your blog on?
Unrelated note – I was distracted upon clicking to your blog today by the banner ad for Jockey undies at the top of your page!
the ad literally calls them “undies”.
FREAKING LOVE REVENGE OMG. I cannot wait til you are all caught up. Please hurry! I wanna talk about it with you!!!! Also did you know Daniel is British in real life? And he and Emily VanCamp are dating in real life? YUP.
I still have yet to own anything Lululemon (I’m too cheap) OR David’s Tea but I so would’ve gone for those colorful tins too!
Glad you got to hang with your sister – I didn’t even know you had one!
Also I am getting conflicting butternut squash info on Twitter from what you told me. I am being told that people leave the skin on? And scoop out the flesh? Does this work?
Okay, so I don’t know what to do with Revenge. I don’t know if I can watch an entire season where the girl falls in love with the guy, and know that in the end he dies. I watched the first two episode and OH-MY-GOSH they are addicting. But I don’t know if I can watch them knowing that it has a sad ending… Thoughts?
Hmm… Fall recipes. I love pumpkin apple streusel muffins. You should make a version of those. SO GOOD.
Sounds like you have had a fun few days and are going into a great weekend! Happy friday1
Have fun baking this weekend girlie!
PS – Please update us on how you like that coconut tea!! Coconut is one of my favorite flavorings.
we just got a david’s tea not to far from my house and the first time I went in their I was in awe! Its amazing, luckily a friend of mine works there and let me smell soo many of the teas and I tried the banana nut bread which is delicious!!
Yah, crisp , autumnal , colourful piles of leaves should be left to the ads & magazines. Cos what lies beneath is not so pretty.
There is so much fun & excitement happening in this post!
No Lulu, Sephora or Davids Tea around here but I think I would love them. Well I’ve STILL not actually tried tea, cocomint cream sounds sort of epic though- , in my mind I just cannot imagine tea being able to taste like that?!
The words ‘ Baking Extravaganza’ coming from you gets.me.pumped. I want your culinary braaaaiin:). Although I don’t think you really need reader suggestions- you always come up with The Best stuff! But I am obsessed with all things cookie, cookie dough , cookie balls etc. So if you came up with something in that family I’d be mighty happy.
Your weekend sounds packed with wonderful, enjoy it!!
Xxx
haha you can’t wait for that workout? crazy talk! it’s so hard. but i guess in a good way
happy weekend!
Your jumping in a leaf pile story cracked me up! I hate bugs! Those tea containers are so cute. And that pumpkin fudge sounds amazing!!
Flavored Stevia?? I’m intrigued!
I just tried the cocomint cream tea on Thursday and I loved it! And obviously I love banana nut bread too. I need to try Santa’s secret!
I’ve been loving warm dinners too – I just made some chili last night! Best fall dinner ever.
Eee! I’m so excited you bought a tin of Banana Nut Bread! What’s the verdict? AMAZING?! I’m dying to try the new holiday flavors as well, and I’m especially curious about the “secret” ingredients in Santa’s Secret.
I sampled a few of the “Home for the Holidays” Philosophy products when I was in Sephora a few weeks ago and fell in love with the Cinnamon Bun lotion! Mmm.
Haha, I’m glad you were able to check an item off your bucket list, despite the fact that it was a failure! I completely agree–jumping into a pile of messy leaves is way overrated!.Not only does it ruin our hair/clothes, it also destroys a beautiful pile of fall foliage.
That pumpkin fudge is calling my name–yum! I’m thinking it would make a perfect bedtime snack #2 .
Hope you had a wonderful weekend, love! xoxoxo <3
