Happy Friday all! The weekend is finally here.
Actually, the week went by pretty fast, so I kind of can’t believe it’s already Friday.
This week has left me filled inspired and full of some new ideas.
It’s been rainy here and it has allowed me to reflect first thing in the morning. Let’s start this weeks confessions.
1. One of my new favorite snacks is cauliflower bites and kale chips.
Oh gosh, I’m officially obsessed with these little nuggets.
They are a perfect little crunch in the afternoon.
2. I think I’ve officially had my last holiday cup of the year.
Sad face.
They just look so sad without their red hue.
3.
This happens to me 98% of the time.
I always just hope people aren’t listening and I can awkwardly stop halfway through my story.
4. I’ve seen this floating around the past week or so (forget from where, sorry) and wanted to share it, simply because it’s awesome.
How true are all those?
I’m definitely putting these into practice.
5. One more reason to celebrate the New Year with a drink or two….this really awesome noise maker that only works after you’ve been drinking.
That’s just weird.
I don’t understand some inventions now-a-days.
6. Oh wait, another reason….apparently partying on New Year’s can make you live longer.
I swear everything can either claim to kill you or make you live longer.
It’s like they decide to switch things up every week., just to keep us on our toes and fear another thing.
7. I’m still candle obsessed.
It kind of makes me think of the holidays, I can’t help but miss them now.
What’s one of your confessions this week?
Happy Friday, have an awesome day!

mm I love crunchy snacks, aka why I am all about popcorn.
I like that 10 things list. I’ve never seen that before. Such an interesting concept!
You’re so right- there are new studies every day about what’s going to kill us and what’s going to help us live to 100. It gets exhausting!!
Love the 10 things. So true. And the kale chips look so good! I always screw mine. I know it’s actually easy to make them but I still can’t get them crispy.
#3 happens to me far more than it should. Glad I’m not the only one!
That noisemaker is hilarious! Definitely on the list of pointless inventions, but still awesome.
That really awkward moment when you’re in the middle of an argument and realize you’re wrong
Not.a.fan. And it’s nice to have someone to lament the loss of holiday Starbucks cups. I told my mom the other day that coffee just doesn’t taste as good from the white cups and she looked at me like I was crazy. I know you know what I’m talking about, though, and that’s why I love you <3
Happy Friday!
i love that 10 things. I posted it a while back too. Such a good reminder. I am gonna miss the holidays too. let’s boycott!
Dang you got some good confessions this week. And totally SNAP for No3 big time, story of my life.
I actually just tried the drool-worthy cauliflower nuggets for the 1st time this week( why did I not try them sooner? something is wrong with me!). Needless to say they’ve become an everyday occurrence- so good.
I saw a holiday Starbucks cup just lying on the street today, and you were my absolute immediate thought:). Haha, I’ve never even had a drink from Starbucks in my life.
I confess to having either Rihannas song Diamonds, or Will.I.AM featuring Britney Spear’s song Scream and Shout, reeeally badly stuck in my head for days on end. They have been like the soundtrack to my life. I also confess to holding my own solo dance party to these songs whenever I hear them.
Happy Friday love
!
Xxx
Can you tell me and explain exactly how to roast things like parsnips, carrots, cauliflowers? HOw much for one serving? Bloating or no, etc? I’m SO not a cook
I also am NOT afraid of fats, so I don’t mind if doused in oil.
I do the same exact thing when I’m telling a story haha, we all do that!
I haven’t had a starbuck’s drink in over a year. I can’t believe I missed the holiday cup… sad!
I’m sad about the starbucks cups going too… holiday season is officially over
I really think you did snag the last one though!
I have seen that 10 things too on Pinterest and love each of the points!
Have a nice weekend Lisa
I love Stephen Covey’s lists, but actually hadn’t seen this one! Such great advice, and you’re right – every single one is true!
So, I’ve decided to save a red cup, just to have it. That way, I know it’s there…just in case. Obsessive? Yep! Shame? None!
I need to try these cauliflower bites/nuggets. How long do you roast them? I’ve been eating kale chips for the past two weeks like crazy! They make delicious nachos, just FYI.
Happy Friday, dear friend! <3 xoxo
I have been seeing kale all over the blog world these past couple of weeks. I have yet to cook with it, but am starting to think that I am missing out! I think I need to get it together and make something with it!
i don’t SEE a sad face with that last holiday cup! haha but that’s good b/c i love to see your smiling face alllllll the time.
it’s never a good time to stop lighting candles. i light them all summer! but i tend to light the fresh floral or citrus candles then. or coconut, oh baby. i’ve still got a winter candle going right now.
i adore how crispy that kale/cauliflower goodness looks. oh yum. carcinogens please?
happy weekend! cheers!
I agree, the week went by so fast! Have a great weekend!
Last holiday cup of the year.. very sad. Now we’ll have to wait till this holiday season!
Love #4! I’ve seen that around and definitely think they’re all great things to take to heart. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Haha, most of my stories end up being pointless. Those cauliflower bites look awesome! Do they get all crunchy?
Mmmm the cauliflower bites sound awesome! I don’t like raw cauliflower that much but when it’s steamed or spices are added to it, it tastes amazing
!
Omg I totally snack on kale and roasted cauliflower, too! I’m glad to see I’m not alone. A little nooch, dried basil, or pasta sauce is always a lovely topping, but usually I just eat them plain like popcorn. Yum! Also, I love the infographic from #4. I keep seeing it around Pinterest, Instagram, and blogs… maybe it’s a sign to really think about them and adopt some new healthy habits? I’ll definitely try my best.
Even though the red cups are gone, I hope you’re having a lovely new year
I miss the holidays too! It’s like I’m going into a full blown depression! Ugh
