Morning all!
Today wasn’t anything exceptional by any means, but after having a hard day it’s always good to look back and appreciate the mini delights in life that make me really grateful for everything in my life.
My anxiety, stress, and sleep haven’t left me feeling the best lately. However, I’m always reminded I have the control to reverse these thoughts, and come out from these situations by appreciating everything that’s delightful.
Delightful…is having the morning to sit down for a leisurely Breakfast.
{ Oat bran, coconut flour, 1/2 banana, cinnamon, and topped with berries and almond butter }
My favorite time of day is the morning. I love getting up extra early to enjoy my mornings in peace, accompanied with oats and my favorite tea, usually.
Delightful…are two a day trips to Starbucks.
Morning trips are usually essential for the obvious reason, but when you’re asked at the last minute to meet up, sometimes you’ve just got to go twice per day. It happens.
Delightful…is eating dark chocolate with sea salt and dipped in nut butter (thank you Sara)
This chocolate is tasty alone; but my, oh my, it’s sinfully delicious dipped in creamy almond butter.
Delightful…is the feeling my muscles get after Physique 57 workouts.
It reminds me of Pilates, which is why I adore it so much. This video will now be apart of my weekly workout routine. It leaves my muscles quivering, which I kind of like.
Delightful…is spending the afternoon unplugged, doing something good for the soul.
Instead of spending the afternoons online, I need to get more involved in daily meditation and working on the May Cause Miracles book. This book has been great in so many ways, but I need to start putting the ideas to practice. It’s more important to work on myself, than reading blogs.
Delightful…were the batch of strawberries I picked out.
{ Strawberries and coconut milk }
My favorite thing about living where I do, is being able to drive down the road and see signs for local organic apples or berries. They are truly the best.
Delightful…is baking banana bread (recipe to come!)

After going on a walk outside, I returned home absolutely freezing and all I could think of was baking up a nice warm batch of banana bread. It’s exactly what I crave when it’s cold out.
Delightful…finding inspiration from a cup of tea.
Even though yogi teas aren’t my favorite brand in the world (I don’t really like tea unless it’s loose leaf and I’m a tea snob). I buy them simply for the lovely messages they have on each bag.
I hope the end of your week is shaping up to be a good one!
Favorite combination to have with chocolate?
Have you ever tried Physique 57 or any Barre classes?
What are some of the mini delights in your life?
Have a delightful day!

I hope you are feeling better today
I know when I’m stressed and tired, I definitely feel off. Glad you treated yourself to some Starbucks!! Just wanted to tell you I love your blog! I want to buy that Physique video – I need something like that for the mornings. Mini delights are big cups of tea at work and for some reason I’m thinking about chocolate covered almonds right now…haha!
Thanks so much Em! You are too sweet:)
Ah yes big cups of tea are always satisfying!
I’ve tried a Barre class before… didn’t love it. Would be willing to try a Physique class though!
Chocolate and nut butter will forever be the best combination – and adding salt to the mix just sounds even better! I’m also starting to remember that chocolate and caramel is pretty epic as well.
i’ve never tried a Barre or Physique 57 class…but I would be willing to give it a shot sometime.
Dark chocolate with sea salt dipped in nut butter sounds amazing! Chocolate and nut butter definitely make for the perfect pair. I also love pairing chocolate with caramel!
I am excited for that banana bread recipe. It is definitely one of my favorite kinds of bread
.
Positive thinking and appreciating the little things are so important. That chocolate/nut butter combo looks great. I also love a chocolate + mint combo….
And I can’t wait for your banana bread recipe!
Chocolate + caramel will always be one of my faves. Some of my mini delights are: waking up early so I can enjoy a nice cup of tea and some blog reading, walking to school with my Jillian Michaels podcasts, and squeezing a workout in between classes. And the fact that FRIDAY is tomorrow : ).
I like chocolate but don’t know how i feel about it with peanut butter…. haha
Looks yummy. PS I love your hair!
Thanks Alexis:)
Oh that chocolate with peanut butter calls my name
I hope you feel better today girl!
I can’t wait for that banana bread recipe, it looks so good. And I love the Yogi Tea messages too, sometimes they just fit exactly in my mood of the day.
I’m not a tea snob because to me tea always taste the same no matter what the brand. However, I am a coffee snob. Dunkin donuts doesn’t even compare to Starbucks.
yay- I love DD as well
Can you believe I’ve never had DD coffee?! We don’t have one here!
Yummm dark chocolate is most definitely delightful
Lisa- it is always easier said than done but a lot of it mind game. Being grateful for what i have is something I have been trying to focus more and block out negativity and stressors in my life and ofcourse tea always helps soothe me
I havent tried that workout but m pretty interested to find out more about it. I enjoy home videos every once in a while. That bread looks delicious, I made some last week- literally with stale choc. chip cookies and it was the best decision
Totally agree girl! It definitely is easier said than done! As most things are, I suppose;)
Chocolate with Crunchy PB or dipped in Coffee
such a great post!! so positive::)
Definitely good to look on the bright side of things! Chocolate + almond butter = match made in heaven
sounded like the perfect day to me…coffee…chocolate…gabby’s book
The dark chocolate and nut butter combination is absolutely swoon worthy. Sea salt just makes it better. I have been known to dip the chocolate right in the nut butter jar, no shame.
Also, I love how the Starbuck’s barista wrote good morning on your coffee cup. You obviously brightened each other’s day.
I’m dying to try that physique 57 dvd!!
It’s really good!
