Happy Monday!
Hope you had a fantastic weekend! Mine was alright, no complaints here. I certainly got tons of chores done.
This morning, I awoke from a nightmare about my house being dirty, so the urge to clean everything in sight was strong. Completely finishing all my laundry, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, basically everything until things were left spick and span. Hello, productivity bug.
{ Coffee sure helped put this pep in my step… }
There was no stopping me. All this done before 11 AM. Pretty impressive if I say so myself.
It’s funny since I procrastinate so much with cleaning, chores, and errands, buts once I start doing them, I’m like a machine that can’t be stopped. I go all out until everything is done. That’s okay, I kind of love that since now I have the whole week cleaning free (for the most part).
{ Sunny skies peaking through the doors… }
Spring has sprung where I live! Well, kind of. It was incredibly sunny today and we were actually able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the beauty all around. It was fabulous.
I won’t bore you to tears with talk of the weather though…let’s move on to the simple pleasures from the weekend and other marvelous things happening…
{ Vegan baked pumpkin oat bran for one… }
With the weather improving, I figure it’s more socially acceptable that I’m still eating cold Breakfasts every morning.
Yes, still…I continue to prep Breakfast the night before awaiting for me in the fridge first thing in the morning. This way, I get to take my time getting up, moving, and tea sipping each morning.
{ Stocking up on my favorite coconut butter in stores… }
Obviously, I’m coconut obsessed as I’ve previously stated my love for this coconut butter.
Typically, I buy this brand of coconut butter online, since it’s much cheaper but my shopping market was having a 15% off sale so I stocked up on 4 of these babies, which will probably only last me a month tops. I love this stuff.
{ Green smoothies for Dinner… }
Dinners have been rather odd lately. Traditional Dinner foods haven’t been cutting it. I’ve been relying on Breakfast for Dinner and lots of smoothies.
Lately, my stomach has not been happy with certain veggies. From my recent allergies to almost all things green, to sickness, I just haven’t felt the same urge to eat them the same way I did before. In my eyes, this is my body telling me it needs a break from the mounds of vegetables I was consuming before.
Maybe I’ll go into more detail in the future, since this leads is a whole different post for another day…
For now, I’ll leave the worry behind. After all, it’s all about finding what works for you in this moment.
One last exciting thing…
I’ve gone ahead and decided to take my pilates teacher training course!!
I’m too excited for it to begin…even though it’s kind of far away. April can’t get here soon enough!
What’s your favorite way to get your veggies in?
Do you prefer fruits or vegetables?
Tell me something fun from your weekend!
Have a marvelous Monday!

Congrats about being accepted!! That’s awesome!!
Thanks!
Lisa, SO exciting on the pilates teacher training!!! Good for you girl! I am wishing you so much luck with that!!! Excited for you!
Oh yes, as you know I am loving my smoothies over here too!
Happy Monday Gorgeous!
Awe, thank you Katie! So appreciate it!
Congrats on pilates teacher training! That sounds like a blast!!!
I’m the same way with cleaning– sometimes I will go on an early-morning cleaning rampage and get it all done before noon. The idea of cleaning is always a little daunting, but once it’s done, it’s great!
I definitely prefer fruits to veggies, and love making all kinds of smoothies. When it comes to raw veggies, I’m a huge fan of hummus and will dip basically any veggie in it!
I miss hummus! You’ve reminded me it’s been too long since I last had any!
I was on a cleaning/organizing rampage yesterday too! We literally spent the entire day reorganizing cupboards & closets, etc and it feels SO good to have everything in order. I give it a week until it’s messy again. Haha. Lately I’ve been getting my veggies in with huge ‘clean out the fridge’ salads, or green smoothies with some berries & coconut oil. I still haven’t tried coconut butter yet! I need to, but it’s so expensive.
It’s such a relief to have everything done with! I’ve been doing basically the same! Either salads or smoothies is the only way I’ve been getting my greens, oops;)
It’s really delicious, but you’re right super expensive.
Congrats on the Pilates training course! I’m sure you’ll love it!
I’ve learned that my body doesn’t appreciate massive piles of veggies either. I still like them, but my digestive system doesn’t appreciate them in mass quantities. I can snack on baby carrots all day though, I’m obsessed with them!
I’m the same with carrots, so addictive!
Congrats on the acceptance!! That is exciting
Congrats on the Pilates course! I’m sure you’ll be an amazing instructor!
I love veggies! I’ll eat them in any way really, raw, roasted, steamed, or in salads. One of my favorites is in smoothies as well! Such a great way to get in some greens!
Thank you!
Thank you Giselle!
Who knew that a simple nightmare could make you so productive??
I love the feeling that I have after going on a cleaning spree, though. It is just so refreshing!
Congrats on your acceptance to the pilates teacher training course. How awesome!
I know, right. So weird a nightmare would leave me cleaning the whole place;)
I like sneaking my veggies in, especially in smoothies.
Cleaning is the best feeling! I always put it off, but once I crank some music up and get going, I feel so much better!
Happy Monday Lisa
.
Have a great week Carly!
Congrats on the teacher training program! I am the same way, I put off cleaning but when i start I can’t stop
I definitely prefer fruits to veggies. One, it’s easier to grab a piece of fruit for me, and two some veggies disagree with me digestive wise. I love them and they hate me!
yay congrats for the certification
I am glad your tummy is feeling better. I had a pretty productive weekend, glad to be done with cleaning and grocery shopping. I usually get my veggies in through by adding whatever I can with each meals eg. kale/spinach with scrambled eggs, adding veggies to smoothies, or in my soups, salad and sandwiches. I like it a with hummus too.
Thank you!:)
Yes, that’s always a great way to get veggies in! Now, I’m totally relying on those things!
I am definitely a fruit person but sometimes I can tell my body is actually CRAVING veggies; however, I used to live on just huge salads with no fats… So, I try to actually stay away from meals consisting of a lot of veggies. I know exactly what you mean with the cleaning ordeal. If I start cleaning, EVERYTHING has to be finished. I can’t clean one thing a day or I’ll never feel like anything is actually “clean”. It’s a weird thing. Haha.
Oh gosh, same here! It was horrendous, especially in terms of digestion ha.
Baked pumpkin oat bran?! YUM!
Congratulations!! I love raw veggies as a snack and fruit in smoothies or oatmeal.
I’m sorry to hear about your tummy! I hope you start to feel better
I finally tried Artisana coconut butter for the first time and LOVE it! TJMAXX had it on sale for $8!!!! I’m in love, but am using it sparingly.
I’m the same when it comes to cleaning…I’ll put it off until one day I wake up and just get after it. I can’t stop until everything is perfect. Weird.
CONGRATULATIONSSSSS on teacher training! You’ll have so much fun, learn a ton, and be an amazing instructor I’m sure! Happy Monday gorgeous
Thanks Sloane!!! You’re awesome! I appreciate the support so much!
Ah, I’m usually like that too. I put it off forever, until everything must be done at once;)
i’m so excited for you and happy that you’ve started your pilates teacher training journey!!! my friend lisa sure is amazing!
i have SUCH a hard time whenever my tummy is telling me to lay the eff off the veggies. realizing it is one thing but doing something about it is a whole other task…
that sunny window shot sure is beautiful!
Thank you Caitlin! I’m so pumped about it! Truly can not wait!
Ah, I have a hard time too since I typically bulk with veggies, but I know my stomach appreciates it wayyy more when I consume less!
Congrats!!! That’s so exciting! I go back and forth between liking fruits or veggies more, but in the last week I’ve been eating a lot more fruit. Craving the sweetness! This weekend I got in a nice long run and visited with my bestfriend!
Thank! That sounds like a ton of fun!
Breakfast for dinner always works. I am so excited for you for the Pilates Teacher Training!! Congrats!
OMG, I’m SO like that with cleaning. Although, I always plan to clean on the weekends, I never know when I’ll be in the “mood” for it. Yesterday was THAT day. I did it all in the kitchen, even cleaned the refrigerator shelves, microwave, all those nooks and crannies that don’t get cleaned daily. It felt amazing when I was done. Although my nails and hands were less than impressed.
And the coconut butter – don’t even go there with me. LOVE the stuff. I was down for a week without it because every time I went to the supermarket, it was on the VERY top shelf, and I couldn’t reach – it was awful!
Congrats on the pilates course!!!
Haha, YES! Such is my daily life!
Ick, I hate the feeling of my nails/hands after cleaning. So gross.
Oh no haha, I’d cry. I’m so obsessed with the coconut butter, it may be a problem now.
Congratulations on being accepted into the program, Lisa! So excited to find out more about it come April – and I bet it’ll be there sooner than you know
.
Cleaning was one of my main weekend achievements, too. Weirdly enough I have a hard time getting started but then actually enjoy it and get a serious kick from seeing the cleaned flat.
Finally getting lots of sunshine again made my weekend ten times better.
Thank so much!
Looks like so many of us are the same in terms of cleaning, weird how it happens! Sunshine always is happiness!
How exciting!! You can teach me pilates anytime! I love it!
Yay:)
you must teach me!! i want to take your future class! so exciting lisa!
Thanks so much Lindsay! I so will teach you:)
First of all, congratulations! I can’t wait to hear more about your pilates training.
Second, I went through the same issues with veggies. As frustrating as it is, it’s definitely your body’s way of telling you to cut back a little bit. I was consuming TONS of raw and cooked vegetables for a long time and eventually my body began building up a sort of intolerance. I’ve been focusing on eating more fruit, grains, protein, etc. and incorporating veggies in smaller portions which definitely helps. Plus, I feel better overall!
Thanks so much!
Ugh, yah totally not fun, especially since I love veggies! But, oh well, sometimes you have to switch it up when your body is clearly asking for something different! I’ve finally realized this, instead of still trying to stick a whole bunch of veggies in my plate and end up in the same cycle.
I’m the exact same way with cleaning, I procrastinate it but then am super productive once I get started. Especially true with my kitchen which is completely white and shows even the tiniest speck of dirt.
Congratulations on deciding to do pilates teacher training! I’m sure it will be such an amazing experience.
Mine’s really light too! So it totally shows up if it’s the slightest bit dirty, so annoying!
Thank you Gina!
Completely unrelated, but everytime I see a Starbucks cup now I think of you.
I go through phases… right now I like carrots the best. Once spring hits I think I’ll be back to the fruit-love more! Can’t wait for watermelon and peach season!
Hahaha, that’s hilarious, but I also think kind of awesome;)
Oh, yes! I feel the same around the season changes for sure. My berry face is starting a little early this year though!
