Things I Love…Right Now

Happy Sunday!

Good morning beautiful people, I hope your weekend is turning into a fabulous one!

What better way to cap off a Sunday than making a little love list. You can never have a bad attitude when you’re listing things you love, no matter how small those things may be.

Clearly, I’m super behind on posting this, since you know Valentine’s was basically a month ago. It’s never too late though…

1. Valentines Candy I Love: Shockingly enough, I’m not in love with Valentine’s related candies, since I feel like most of them are in the form of those candy heart messages and gummies and I really, really dislike both those things. I hate when things are overly chewy, ick. It’s a teeth phobia thing I have.

I’d definitely have to go with the simple chocolate route. Plain, and dark as possible please.

2. Current Workout Jam I Love: People may think I’m insane for this, but I’m not a huge fan of listening to music when I workout. It’s kind of odd, but I just could workout in complete silence and almost prefer it to listening to music, well some of the time unless I really need the motivation.

I usually spend my workout time catching up on mindless TV, but I do happen to really love the song “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore. I may or may not play it more than once throughout workouts if I choose to listen to music.

3. Article Of Clothing I Love: Lululemon Free To Be Bra.

This looks absolutely adorable with an open back shirt, if you’re going for a casual look. Especially useful for lounging around the house.

4. Something Red I Love: Oh tough one, since I love basically all things red.

red lipstick

I think red is such a classy color, from red lipstick, to red nails, and red dresses are the top ones I can think of!

Can’t forget about my beloved strawberries and red apples (they are way tastier than the green ones).

5. Month I Love: My favorite months have got to be October and December.

October being obvious, since it’s my birthday month and also the beginning of Fall, which I adore. December, since I LOVE everything that has to do with Christmas. I’m such a sucker for that holiday.

6. Piece Of Advice I Love: This is definitely a top contender…

audrey hepburn

I’m a sucker for all things pinnable and pretty looking.

7. New (or old!) Blog I Love: Well, this one is a challenge for me.

I love all different types of blogs, but ones I’ve been reading more of recently, ever since I had to give up eggs and dairy, are Oh She Glows and Elise from Hungry Hungry Hippie. They both provide a lot of knowledge on plant based eats and make some insanely yummy looking food.

8. Current Reading Material I Love: The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

the name of the wind

Thank you Amanda for this recommendation! Amazing read so far, and I can’t wait to read the rest, since this is only the first of the Kingkiller Chronicles series.

9. A Memory I Love: There’s no way I could choose only one. All my memories have formed who I am as a person now; whether they are bad or good, so there’s nothing in particular I can pick.

10. “Chick Flick” I Love: So many to choose from! I adore Legally Blonde, The Notebook, Sex and the City (the series), Ghost, and Crazy, Stupid, Love. Plus so many more that I just can’t think of at the moment.

11. A Special Place In The World I Love: They say home is where the heart is, and I’d have to wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

12. Beauty Product I Love: This is a rude question, because I’m a huge lover of all beauty products.

There’s not denying that I love makeup, fashion, and hair products, but if I’d chose one thing to share with others I’d have to go with coconut oil.

It’s incredibly nifty and serves multiple purposes. From hair to skin care, it’s basically a miracle oil. It also happens to make food taste magical as well. Win, win, win.

13. Nifty Website I Love: Can must of us agree that Pinterest is clearly a winner in this category? I try my hardest to avoid it for the most part, since once I get sucked in, I get sucked in for a while.

14. A Beautiful Blog Post I Love: This post by Laury from The Fitness Dish. Really great post!

Those are just a few of the things I’m loving at the moment, but I’m pretty sure most of those can change as fast as I came to love them. I tend to change my mind a lot and clearly have a hard time just picking one thing. I’m a girl of many loves.

What’s a piece of advice you love?

Blogs you love? (new or old)

Your favorite beauty products?

Hope you’re all having a beautiful day!

  1. The Fitness Dish is one of my favorite blogs! She always has such amazing posts! I think I love just about everything on your list! The only thing I can’t do is workout without music! That’s torture for me!

  2. I just started reading the Name of the Wind! I’m not too far into it yet, but so far, so good.

I need music to work out, especially if it’s cardio. Otherwise, I’m just counting down the seconds until it’s over, which is not exactly pleasant.

  3. That bra looks fabulous and I am loving the color. Sports bras that criss-cross in the back are super convenient and comfy!

Coconut oil continues to amaze me. I seriously love reading all of the ways that people use it!

    • I’m so obsessed with it!
I love reading what other people use it for too. It’s an amazing product for basically anything!

  4. i`ve checked lulemon site, omg i love everything !!!

  5. Red for the win! That lipstick colour fits you perfectly. I think red is such a great mood-boosting colour it should make an appearance every day – and it does for me :) .

Why do the best apples have to be the most expensive?! I’ve been treating myself to Pink Ladys more often lately, too, and their taste – and colour, obviously – is incomparable.

By the way: You’re not the only one who prefers working out without music. While I’m doing it every now and then in summer I much prefer running without my IPod. I enjoy taking my runs as a time to find inspiration and think about whichever topics are on my mind at that moment. Music would only interfere with that. Thanks for the song recommendation still – it’s a good one even when not working out.

    • Yes, totally agree!
Ah man, I know. The best things are always so expensive! Dang it.
Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t always enjoy working out with music:)

  6. You are one of the few people that I know that looks good with red lips! You can rock them girl!! I don’t listen to music when I workout either!! SO glad I’m not the only weirdo. ;)

  7. I wish I looked that good in red lipstick! beautiful!!
and Michelle and I sometimes do not workout with music either, we like working out in both silence and music ;)

  8. My fav beauty product is always Mac’s Fluidline in Blacktrack.. I don’t wear much make up but I cannot live with it. I love eyeliner, especially that one because it stays on forever.

  9. I never really listen to music when I workout either, but I do love listening to podcasts. I am also guilty of catching up on email reading while doing cool-down cardio on machines, so no music necessary for that, heh. ;-)

  10. Love this post! My favorite beauty product is my Naked Basics palette – it is so easy to get pretty eye shadow from it :)

  11. I absolutely love the Audrey Hepburn quote! So true. Will definitely have to remind myself of that one :) .

I’m really loving Heather & kiss my broccoli’s page. Love her recipes she posts.

  12. I love love love the bright red lips! Classy, chic, vibrant, hotttt! You’re workin’ it, Lisa! I’ve never used MAC lipstick, but I’ve been hearing great things lately, so that needs to change. :)

Speaking of classy…that Audrey Hepburn quote is fabulous! I can’t believe I’ve never seen it!And even though Carrie Bradshaw may not fall in the same classy class as red lipstick and Ms. Hepburn, there’s no doubt that Sex and the City is one of–if not the best–TV shows ever created.

I’m the same about gummy/chewy candy–I can’t stand when it gets caught in my teeth! Chocolate never causes such stress, and it tastes a zillion times better, too. Win-win. My mom brought me a box of Valentine’s Godiva dark chocolate truffles this weekend (one of her students gave them to her and she didn’t want them…can you imagine?), and I’m still feeling giddy about it. :D

Hope you had a lovely weekend, love!! xoxo <3

    • You are too sweet! It’s definitely a great lipstick! If I use their matte lipsticks though, I always add lipgloss since I don’t like the look alone;)
Omgggg, you have to see it!!! It’s one of the greatest movies invented! In my opinion, but that may because I just love Audrey Hepburn.
Ah, isn’t it the worst. Gummies will just never be a winner to me. Chocolate on the other hand, yes please! Oh my gosh, jealous you got some Godiva’s those chocolates are amazing!
      Love you!

  13. Those chocolates look so pretty! They make me think of a classier version of chocolate buttons!

  14. I love Name of the Wind! The sequel is also fantastic, I can’t wait for the third. :)

  15. Well I love this post and I love you in red lipstick! Wish I could pull it off like you! And I love those free to be tops–but hated how they looked on me in the back…thanks for the shout!
