In the past 4 years I’ve lost 40 pounds and managed to keep it off.
My lifestyle has changed drastically since I have graduated from high school. I started out as an insecure 17 year old, who tried to fit in with whatever everyone else was doing. I went from a hard working competitive swimmer, to a somewhat lazy teenager who started getting into bad situations.
When I went off to college my habits changed, I was exercising more and eating relatively healthy. I easily dropped some weight.
After my first year of college I went home for the summer and ended up losing too much weight. Compulsive exercise and thoughts of food consumed my mind to an unhealthy state.
With a lot of help from family and friends, I am now at a healthy weight. Although I still struggle with my eating habits and emotional thoughts. I want to eventually “normalize” these things.
I am always learning and discovering new things about myself, and I know that this will be a life long process.
