Chia Banana Protein Smoothie

It feels like I’ve been gone forever, in reality it’s been three days.

If you saw on twitter, my blog was in commission for most of the weekend, or so I thought. Somehow, I managed to block my own IP address from my website. Not even sure how that’s possible, as I don’t know how to black others. That would happen to me…

Going green is quite easy, just throw a few spinach leaves into a smoothie and you instantly have a more nutrient filled meal. You can’t taste the spinach, I swear.

These have been my go to Dinners as of late. I just make sure to jam pack them with good stuff.

Chia Banana Protein Smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 scoop sun warrior protein powder
  • a big handful of frozen spinach (so simple – just freeze a fresh bag of chopped and rinsed spinach)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 of an avocado (optional for added creaminess)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Just blend and enjoy!

    The nails look so pretty! Careful with the gel/acrylic stuff though…I wore gel nails for years and my natural nails are so bad now. Really thin and break so easily. (I’m sure once in a while won’t hurt, but they look so pretty that you get them once and the next thing you know, you’ve been wearing them for 5 years).

    • You’re totally right! I had the same thing happen, but I went against what I said before and decided for these…I’m thinking once or twice a year won’t be so bad, but I’ll have to see! Hah

  7. Glad to see you back, hun! Missed you this weekend, but happy that you got to enjoy some time off too. Your nails are looking so pretty and really making me want to go in to get a manicure myself. I’m kind of scared that I’ll become addicted to gels though and I hear they can kind of wreck your nails.

    No celebrations for me this weekend because the weather’s been absolute garbage. I holed up at home and did a lot of baking, though, so I guess I can’t complain :)

    • That’s what I’m a little afraid of too! I’ve had them before and got a little addicted, but I’m hoping this won’t be a monthly spending routine, since my nails can’t afford that ha.

  21. Loving the manicure, I bought everything so that I can do my own shellac manicures at home. I love the fact it lasts at least 2 weeks rather than chipping on the second day!
    I didn’t get up to much for St Patricks Day although having an Irish Dad I really should have…I partied too hard the night before at my engagement so wasn’t up to doing much at all yesterday!

  22. Will you (have you..?) done a hair tutorial? Your waves are amazing. Also, what kind of product do you use? My hair is so fine that my curls never hold… or they turn into a giant rats nest! I stayed home on St Pattys Day (I’m the most boring person ever) and watched movies/ate homemade sushi/went to bed at 8pm. Hahaha! Fav green food: mint chocolate chip ice cream! :D

  25. Aww, I’m SO glad you enjoyed the pancakes! I swear I can’t wait till I can get back to my regular pancake-flippin’ so I can make them again…those and the Thin Mints…I’ve been having serious pancake craving lately! Lol

    Love the coffee on coffee action! Haha! And that bowl of “cheesy” quinoa looks incredible! Comfort food for me is either something just like that (creamy and cheesy) or a big bowl of ice cream, or in the case of tonight, Arctic Zero…topped with a crumbled coconut muffin, crushed cereal, chocolate cocoa sauce, and almond butter…it was a dream come true!!
