What’s more refreshing in the Summer than a perfectly chilled and satisfying smoothie on a hot day? It’s safe to say I’ve been all about the smoothies this year. More importantly, the smoothies I make are all healthy and delicious.
Since smoothies have been a major staple in my daily routine, I thought it would be appropriate to share my all time favorite delicious frozen treats for the Summertime. Considering it’s What I Ate Wednesday, I’m highlighting all the smoothies and frozen eats I’ve been consuming lately.
Smoothies are the perfect hot weather treat. Actually, I kind of like drinking them when it’s cold out too. All you need is a blanket and a heater and you’re set.
The other thing I love about smoothies is that they’re impossibly easy to make, easily healthified, perfect on the go meals, and the possibilities are endless. You can literally never get sick of a smoothie since all the ingredients are interchangeable.
Just switch out the fruits, change your protein powder, add different veggies, nut butters, oats, flours, and different flavors of milk.
Another great thing about all these recipes is that they are made for one. Sometimes it’s nice to just have recipes for one person, but they can be easily doubled if needed.
Not sure about you, but I could definitely go for a healthy frozen treat right about now.
P.S. Send some major healing vibes to my poor Lola. She’s super sick right now, so I’ve been up ALL night taking care of her. I’m going to need a lot of coffee to get through today…
