After the race I headed to the Hyland’s Powered team after party. everybody that has worked on putting the team together, documenting the journey, running, supporting, cheering, planning as well as more came together to celebrate at the U club. It’s super close to the surface line so I grabbed my post-race goodie bag as well as a mylar blanket as well as walked there.

They set it up so when you walk in the front desk asks who you are (it’s a personal club so you have to do this anyway) however that person provides the celebration a head’s up you’re coming as well as when you walk into the space the DJ announces you as well as everybody cheers for you super loud!! It was startling as well as kinda funny since I wasn’t prepared for that however I danced around since it was such a warm welcome.

I’m usually not hungry right after a marathon however I was 100% prepared to eat after the race.

Everything about the Hyland’s team as well as training for the Boston Marathon as well as crossing the surface line was an honor.

These lovely yellow daffodils were all around the city. There were a great deal Boston strong indications as well as messages up during marathon weekend. I liked seeing these as well as a special reminder of what occurred at the race in 2013. I stated a great deal of bit prayers over the weekend. Speaking of that…
I tried to go to church on Easter Sunday (the day before the race) however it was so packed they stopped letting people in! I randomly occurred to walk as much as the back entrance as well as a guy who goes to this church on a regular basis (I assume) stated he was going to go in a different way. I complied with him with a back door, down to the basement as well as back as much as the church level. Lil sneaker! however I needed it.
There is a huge post-race celebration that all the runners can attend. Your guests can buy a ticket too. I skipped it however am curious about it since the entire race has such a happy celebratory vibe – even out of a celebration situation.
One of my Hyland’s teammates, Nancy has a good friend who makes jewelry. Marlene (her good friend the fashion jewelry maker) sent all of us these pendants with inspiring appeals before the race. look at the appeal with all our photos on it! This is super sweet. I saw Tina from Carrots N Cake as well as her famous pug Murphie!! Tina is one of my finest good friends even though she lives on the other side of the country. Chandra as well as I had dinner as well as wine as well as fun with her as well as the household Saturday night.
